    1. Pacific Digital Library – “A collaborative digital library development project created by a team of Pacific Islander librarians. In May 2009, the “Leaders for Pacific Libraries” project conducted a 3-week training workshop in Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia (FSM). This intensive training in the Greenstone Digital Library software resulted in the PDL.”

    2. Micronesian Seminar – “A research-pastoral institute founded by the Catholic Church in 1972.  Its main mission is community education, although it has engaged in social and historical research.  For 30 years, MicSem has served the people of what was once the Trust Territory of the Pacific--the Federated States of Micronesia, Palau, the Marshall Islands, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.”

    Online Books Page - A website that facilitates access to books that are freely readable over the Internet.

    Bib Me - This bibliography generator automatically fills in a works cited page in MLA, APA, Chicago or Turbian formats.
    CIA World Factbook : Country Profiles and Statistics
    Encyclopedia.com - This site hosts 49 high-quality encyclopedias (Oxford University Press, Britannica, etc.) and 73 dictionaries and thesauruses. Encyclopedia.com users can also search through facts and biographies.
    Internet Public Library - An online reference service that offers everything from free dictionaries and encyclopedias to books, magazines and newspapers.
    RefDesk - An enormous collection of reference materials, searchable databases and other great resources that can't be found anywhere else.
    The Owl - Purdue University's Online Writing Lab (OWL) is a great resource for student writers who want to learn more about writing mechanics, formatting, outline development and avoiding plagiarism.

  8. Library Collections
  9. General Collection
    Most of the library's books are in the General Collection on the main library floor and can be borrowed.

    Reference Collection
    Books in the Reference Collection on the main floor can only be used in the library. These books include encyclopedias, dictionaries, handbooks, directories, almanacs, atlases, statistical sources, multi-volume sets, indexes, and other materials.

    Special Collections
    The Special Collections holds the Pacific collection, Government Documents, and Archives and are located in the Pacific Room. Materials from the Special collections can only be used in the library.

    Periodicals Collection
    Journals, magazines, and newspapers are held in the periodicals collection. The periodicals collection is located on the main floor and can only be used in the library.

    A/V Collection
    Videos, DVDs, and Audio CDs are available for instructional use in the A/V Room.

    Curriculum Resource Center (CRC)
    Children’s books, curriculum guides, and supplemental resources for teaching are available in the CRC collection. Users may borrow materials from this collection.

Please allow at least three to five weeks for processing.  Fines for late, lost, or damaged books will be charged to your library account. To avoid fines, return all materials by their due dates.
