About Me

My Philosophy of Teaching

I believe that each student bring into the classroom a unique individual who is capable of growing and maturing intellectually, physically, emotionally, and socially that commenced in the unique society, culture, and environment where this student abides. That each one of these individual uniqueness and learning style is an important part of the curriculum that promises to these students an abode second to home, that is safe, motivating, and sensitive to their own uniqueness and culture, towards achieving their fullest potential for their own selves as well for the society they are in. As an educator, I believe that teachers play a very significant and active role in fulfilling such endeavor. The teacher is not a source of knowledge but has the active role of guiding the students search for knowledge as they learn to discover solutions to their own inquiries by preparing for student a classroom environment of self-discovery and self-construction of knowledge using best practices based upon the individual students learning style, activities that reflects what is genuinely important to the students, and endeavors that leads to discovery of self-identity, self-sufficiency, and self-respect as well as respect for others.
