This website aims to provide sufficient information and tools for
the COM-FSM Pohnpei Campus Mathematics and Science Division. As the
slogan states, the information technology is harnessed for an
alternative teaching-learning platform, thus benefiting instructors
and students alike.
It acts as a facility for instructors where additional course
resources can be uploaded and directed to students,
as well as utilize the materials herein provided. Students can make
use of any available resources provided by instructors and explore
other features, the objective of which is to provide the students
enough materials to help them succeed in Mathematics and Science
courses as well as gaining insights on other matters.
Sidelights such as Math/Science Jokes, Quotes, Puzzles and Updates
give students an alternative view of Mathematics and Science as very
interesting subjects as well as being indispensable in everyday
life. It thus ingrains in students the necessity of learning
Mathematics and Science by heart, and that it is not to be
taken lightly. This website thus gives instructors and
students a handy access to important tools and information necessary
to Mathematics and Science courses. It also imparts practical
wisdom useful for everyday life.

Contributions from anybody from the Purple Family can also be solicited for the Words to Ponder, Your Health Matters, Laughter, the Best Medicine, and Math/Science Updates. Class outputs such as grades, slo's (student learning outcomes) would be uploaded from time to time. Prizes will be given for students who can solve the Puzzle of the Week, in the form of additional points in class, $5 gift certificates from the Business Office and other incentives. Minor puzzles in each Math course correspond to a small item prize, the objective of which is to incite interest in Mathematics.
With all of these, the Math & Science Team hopes to make your web browsing of this site a worthwhile and an enjoyable one.
