My Philosophy of Teaching
I
always believe that the capacity to care gives life its deepest and
significant meaning, and this applies to all my endeavors in life,
including vocations like teaching. I believe that in all things I
do where people are involved, consideration, kindness, patience and
love should always be manifested. In teaching however, instilling
discipline and diligence pursuant to the achievement of goals and
objectives must be part of caring to people as these would train
them to become better persons.
When I teach, I want to inspire
and motivate my students to strive some more. My dealings with them
do not stop at the classroom. I know that some students may not
reach their potential learning capacity unless they are individually
monitored. So part of my caring for them is to extend some hours
for consultation and continuous assessment of their class
performances in order to gauge what areas are needing immediate
attention.
Nonetheless, I set my own
personal standards in teaching, in conformity with the
vision/mission and general objectives of the institution. With
these, I want my students to be dedicated in their pursuance of
career goals as I make myself their mentor, guide and motivator.
