Certificate Of Achievement in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
Program Description
Students will be introduced to the theory of refrigeration and air-conditioning and given practice in the servicing and repairs of the relevant appliances.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon program completion the successful graduate will be able to competently perform the following skills:
- Identify safety and occupational health requirements in the air-conditioning and refrigeration industry.
- Use specified hand and power tools for refrigeration and air-conditioning.
- Perform basic hand skills in maintaining refrigeration and air-conditioning systems to given specifications
- Read and interpret basic electrical drawing & symbols related to A/C and refrigeration systems.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and repair to residential A/C units and refrigerators.
- Participate in the air-conditioning and refrigeration profession.
