Course Title: Agricultural Mechanics
STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES
General
Students will be introduce to the basic
concepts and applications in shop safety, metal working, basic carpentry,
electricity, plumbing, combustion engine, and greenhouse construction.
Specific
Students should be able to:
1.
Identify tools used in
the repair and maintenance of equipment and structures
2.
Demonstrate the safe use of
various hand and power tools.
3.
Perform basic repairs and
conditioning of hand tools
4.
Demonstrate the ability to
join metal with arc and oxy/acetylene welding
5.
Explain the basic operation
of internal combustion engines
6.
Demonstrate the ability to
install or repair basic electrical wiring.
7.
Discuss the various types of
pluming types and components
8.
Explain the procedures for installing concrete for floors and footings.
