FSM-FMI & Yap Campus Exhibit Vocational Education Programs
Colonia, Yap State (April 28, 2014) - COM-FSM Yap Campus and FSM-Fisheries & Maritime Institute combined efforts to hold the first Vocational Education Exhibition at Yap Campus on Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 9:00AM to 4:00PM. Over 200 students and members of the public attended the event throughout the day.
Exhibition is to promote awareness of the vocational programs available at both campuses. Key exhibitions centered on the FSM-FMI programs of Navigation, Marine Engineering & Fishing Technology and the Electronics Engineering Technology and Agriculture & Food Technology programs at Yap Campus. The Health Assistant Training Program, Bookkeeping and Secretarial Science Programs offered at Yap Campus were also featured.
The Cooperative Research Extension program also displayed plants, vegetables, chickens, and two goats (a novelty to Yap) borrowed from the Yap State Agriculture department.
COM-FSM and FSM-FMI want to thank the following individuals and agencies for attending this event: Senators Jesse Raglmar-Subolmar, Joseph Giliko’, John Mooteb, and Charles Chieng; Yap Cooperative Association; DHS Director James Gilmar; and Yap State Agriculture department staff; and other members of the public.
