National Campus Conducts 3-Day Freshmen Orientation
(Palikir, Pohnpei) – The National Campus held a 3-day freshmen and new students orientation from August 5-8, 2013. Close to 150 freshmen and new students participated in the 3-day event.
The first day of orientation kicked off with a general assembly at the FSM-China Friendship Sports Center were incoming students were officially welcomed by college's President Joseph M. Daisy, Ed.D. together with the Cabinet and Management Team members of the college.
During the 3-day orientation students toured the campus and were introduced to the departments and their functions with the help and guidance of the Peer Advisers.
Freshman Andrea Ewarmai says, “ The 3-day orientation was fun! We met and made friends with a lot of people throughout the activity. We feel so welcomed here at National Campus. I personally thank the Peer Advisers for their guidance.”
“I was excited and nervous at the same time.” Says Gloria Haser, a freshman student from Chuuk. “I definitely look forward to the beginning of the semester, it’s a whole new world for me and my fellow freshman, we look forward to the challenge.” she added.
A field trip to Nan Madol and Keproi waterfalls marked the end of the 3-day orientation.
