Students Enlist for Peer Adviser Training at National Campus
(Palikir, Pohnpei) – 24 students from the National Campus enlisted for a 4-day training to become Peer Advisers which began on July 22 and will commence on July 24, 2013.
The Peer Counseling Center (PCC) in collaboration with the Counseling office and Sports and Recreation office conducted the 4 day training at the National Campus and Sea Breeze hotel conference room in Kolonia.
The training included a focus on leadership, effective communications and time management skills.
According to trainee Jacquelyn Lefagoyal; “ I joined the Peer Advisers because you get to learn a lot about your fellow students and yourself as well. By joining the Peer advisers you develop self confidence and at the same time become a role model to fellow student."
The training was administered by Dalihla Waltu, Mike Ioanis, and Loatis Seneres.
