(Palikir, Pohnpei) The National and Pohnpei Campuses celebrated their 57th Commencement Exercises on May 22, 2013 at the FSM-China Friendship Sports Center, National Campus. Over 500 people attended the ceremony and witnessed the marching of the graduates.

College President & CEO Joseph M. Daisy, Ed.D. gave the welcoming remarks and shared that “For our students it is a time to recognize and celebrate their academic accomplishments. For the parents and families of our students, commencement provides yet another point of pride. For all of us and for our faculty, most especially, commencement is an opportunity to acknowledge our work and success in educating the young men and women who represent the future hopes, dreams and aspirations of the FSM.”

The commencement address was given by Professor Susan Moses who then challenged the college community, according to her; “Improve the level of education and instruction that we provide so that all of the future graduates will mark Good or maybe we should include Excellent on the next survey and strive to achieve 100% Excellent marks.”  Professor Moses in her speech said that she gave a survey to the graduating students to fill out and rated the overall performance of COM-FSM.
