SDA Seniors from Ebeye Visit COM-FSM National Campus
Palikir, Pohnpei (April 9, 2013) - Eleven high school seniors from the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) School in Ebeye, Marshall Islands visited the National Campus on April 4, 2013 as part of their Senior Retreat. Headed by their Principal Mr. Manuel Alamo Jr. and three staff members, the students were welcomed at the National Campus by Peer Guides headed by SBA President Sebastian Tairuwepiy.
The group toured classrooms, laboratories and the Learning Resource Center lead by Peer Guides before making a quick stop at the Administration Building where they were welcomed by COM-FSM President Joseph M. Daisy, Ed.D. The group had a chance to sit down and chat with President Daisy at his Conference room. During the meeting, President Daisy asked each of the 11 seniors what they want to become when they finish high school. Each of the 11 seniors briefly talked about their plans after their graduation, while some of them expressed interest in coming to COM-FSM.
After their meeting with the President, the group continued their tour around the campus where they were accompanied by President Daisy and the Peer Guides. According to their Principal, Mr. Alamo, “The students had a great time during their visit at COM-FSM, and we are very much thankful for the warm reception especially to Dr. Joe Daisy.”
