Australian Soccer Coach Conducts Clinic at National Campus

PALIKIR, Pohnpei (March 15, 2013) -  Australian volunteer soccer instructor Stan Foster visited the National Campus on March 13, 2013 to conduct a clinic for the students of ESS 102F -Fundamentals of Soccer. 

Mr. Foster taught the students different styles of soccer calisthenics and warm up techniques. "The students were engaged in methods of training that is being used by the pro's" says ESS102F instructor Vasantha Senarathgoda. 

According to students his methods of teaching soccer are interesting and easy to follow. Mr. Foster is training Pohnpei State players and assisting the FSM Football Association (FSMFA) in prepration for the visiting Asia-Pacific Football Confederation (AFC) team. The team visit will evaluate the process of the membership application submitted by FSMFA to the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) for FSMFA to be a qualified member of FIFA.

Mr. Foster has been playing and coaching soccer for more than 30 years.
