Japanese Students Visit College of Micronesia-FSM

PALIKIR, Pohnpei (September 7, 2012) - Thirteen university students from Japan visited the National Campus on September 3, 2012. The visit was part of the promotion of tourism as spearheaded by Rainbownesia Project in collaboration with COM-FSM students.

The Japanese students were divided into two groups. The Hotel and Tourism Management students at Pohnpei Campus received one group while the Social Science Club at the National Campus received the other group for photo tours.

The Social Science Club welcomed their Japanese visitors 09/21/at the National Campus on September 5th and prepared some social activities for them. The visitors also paid a courtesy visit to COM-FSM President Joseph M. Daisy, Ed.D. where they were welcomed and presented gifts.

The visitors returned to the Blue Plate Café at Pohnpei Campus on September 7, 2012, where they presented their photographs for winning prizes.

The Rainbownesia Project is a promotional concept for the Federated States of Micronesia currently in joint collaboration between the FSM Embassy in Tokyo, the National and State Visitors Bureaus, and the Rainbownesia Team.
