[RFP] For YC Generator House Design and Build/Generator Installation

RFP No.: B2021-37

PURPOSE:   The College of Micronesia-FSM is soliciting sealed bid proposals from any qualified and licensed contractor to design and build a generator house with underground secondary power distribution system and generator installation at our Yap Campus site.

SCOPE OF WORK:   All interested bidders must prepare proposals to reflect the following scope of work below and in accordance to the Owner’s requirements specified in the bid package.

• Design and build a generator house for the Denyo diesel generator Model: DCS-220SPK (220KVA), 3-phase 208 volts.
• Design and built generator house to withstand the wind load of 125 mph wind.
• Compute current power consumption demand for the campus and each building.
• Determine the length and size of electrical conductors needed to connect the buildings from the generator.
• Design and built underground secondary power distribution system including conduits, manholes and conductors as shown in the bid package.
• Install generator and connect generator cables to control panels including main disconnect switches, ATS, secondary power distribution system and transformer.

BID PACKAGE:  Interested bidders may pick-up bid package at the Yap Campus Maintenance Office starting September 17, 2021 during working hours from 8:00-5:00pm.

PRE-BID CONFERENCE:   Interested Bidders are encouraged to attend the Pre-Bid Conference and site visit on September 29, 2021, 2:00am Yap Time.

BID SUBMISSION DEADLINE:  All sealed bid proposals must be labeled “RFP No.B2021-37” and submitted directly to the contact person below no later than October 27, 2021, 2:00pm Yap Time.   

TERMS/CONDITIONS:  All proposals serve as the basis for Contract, if any between the successful bidder and the owner.  The College of Micronesia-FSM is NOT bound to accept any proposal, or award a contract, nor responsible for any costs associated with bidder’s preparation and submission of any proposal.

REVIEW RIGHTS: The College of Micronesia-FSM reserves the right to accept or reject any or all responses to this RFP and to enter into discussion, or negotiations with one or more qualified bidders at the same time, if such action is in the best interest of the College of Micronesia-FSM.
