National and CTEC Bookstore Update (January 12, 2021 Announcement)
In line with the COVID-19 Response Update, please see updates/changes below for National and CTEC Bookstore with regards to the Student’s Charge Week:
Student’s Regular Charge Week for Spring Semester will be extended until January 29, 2021
Students from CTEC may email ctecbookstore@comfsm.fm for textbook purchase
The requirement for Approved/Signed from the Financial Aid Office (FAO) is hereby waived for now. The FAO has provided Bookstore the list of eligible students.
Effective January 12 until January 22, students must check in with the Security Registration Post for contact tracing log and body temperature before proceeding to the Bookstore Warehouse. One (1) student/staff at a time will be entertained from 9:00AM to 3:00PM for a total of 30 students/staff per day since only one (1) staff will be on duty. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
ATTENTION: ALL STUDENTS AND ALL STAFF (January 11, 2021 Announcement)
In response to the recent announcement / update from the COM-FSM Office of the President regarding the current COVID -19 situation in Pohnpei, FSM, the College’s Bookstore will have some changes with the procedures for the Student’s Regular Charge Week:
Student’s Regular Charge Week for Spring Semester will be on January 11 to January 22, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., Monday to Friday at the Bookstore Warehouse. You have TWO (2) OPTIONS:
OPTION 1 – Email to bookstore@comfsm.fm the following:
- Scanned copy or photo of your Approved/Signed Authorization Slip from the Financial Aid Office
- Scanned copy or photo of your COM-FSM ID
- List of textbooks you want to purchase (copy of Course Syllabus preferred)
- List of supplies you want to purchase
You will receive an email for the date and time to pick your orders and sign your invoice.
OPTION 2 – Go straight to the Bookstore Warehouse. Please be informed of the following:
A) Bookstore will entertain 2 students/staff every 15 minutes from 9:00AM to 4:00PM (straight hours, no break time) for a total of 58 persons per day;
B) Below are the steps/procedures:
- Secure an approved/signed Authorization Slip from the Financial Aid Office
- Bring the following with your Approved Authorization Slip to the Bookstore Warehouse
- COM-FSM ID
- Course Syllabus or complete list of textbooks needed
- Students will get his/her number (1 to 58)
- While waiting for their turn, students are advised to think / make a list of books/supplies/items to purchase and fill out the Prepaid Account Form (optional)
- Before entering the warehouse, students should sanitize their hands using the automatic alcohol dispenser
- Bookstore staff will verify the Authorization Slip
- Bookstore staff prepares the textbook and/or supplies needed then prepares the invoice
- Students receive the textbooks and/or supplies then sign the invoice
