[RFP] For the Repairs and Improvement of the College Gymnasuim

GENERAL PURPOSE: The College of Micronesia-FSM is seeking proposal from licensed construction contractor to provide estimate necessary for project entitled “Bldg. L – COM-FSM Gymnasium Roof Leak Repair per RFP No. 2020-05”, located in Paies, Pohnpei. 

PROJECT SCOPE INCLUDE(S);

1. Roof Surface Preparation:  Clean entire metal and gutter free of dirt, dust, leaves, stains, grease or oil, mildew or moss or other foreign objects.  Pressure washing is preferred.  
2. Roof Leak Repair:  Locate and patch roof leak with roofing cement.  Remove and replace all roofing screws with new.  Recaulk or reseal all joints, cuts or overlap of roofing sheets, ridge caps or flashings with silicone sealant prior to securing with new screws.  
3. Roof Painting:  Apply one coat of Elastomeric Coating on all roof surfaces to include roofing sheets, flashing, and other roof accessories.  Proposed paint product shall be identified in the proposal for approval for use on this project.  
4. General Liability Insurance:  Contractor must own or secure a General Liability Insurance coverage plan to secure the Owner and the company of any liability resulting from injury or death during the terms of this contract agreement.

BID PACKAGE – Bid Package containing details of the project are available for pickup at the Office of the Director of Maintenance, National campus during regular business hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00pm. 

PRE-BID CONFERENCE â€“ There is no mandatory pre-bid conference.  All interested bidders are encouraged to contact the Project Manager, Alfred Olter at (320-2481 ext. 202), or email: alfredo@comfsm.fm.  

Bid SUBMISSION - All proposals, enclosed in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Bldg. L - COMFSM Gymnasium Roof Leak Repair per RFP No. 2020-05”, shall be submitted to the Office of the Director of Maintenance – National Campus no later than Friday, March 13, 2020 ,03:00 PM. 

REVIEW RIGHTS - The College of Micronesia-FSM reserve the right to accept or reject any or all responses to this RFP and to enter into discussion, or negotiations with one or more qualified bidders at the same time, if such action is in the best interest of the College of Micronesia-FSM.
