College Mourns the Passing of Professor Cynthia Noble Pastor

The College is saddened by the loss of Professor Cynthia Noble Pastor who passed away on January 30, 2019.

The college is scheduled to have a memorial service for Cindy this Friday, February 22, 2019 at 1:00 PM. The service will be at the Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) in town.

Cindy, as she was better known, began her career at the College of Micronesia-FSM as an English Instructor in 2010 at what was then Pohnpei Campus. In 2015-2017 she was promoted to an Assistant Professor serving the students in ACE Program. From 2017 to the last day of her untimely passing, she was serving the college as an Associate Professor for the ACE program.

As part of her commitment to the college community, Cindy also served on several standing committees such as Recruitment and Retention Committee and the Facilities Committee. She also served as an advisor for the Madolenihmw Student Organization (MSO).

The college will miss her humor and cheerful personality. She will be remembered for her dedication and passion for the students she served, and the hard work she gave as a member of the college family.
