College Mourns the Passing of Professor Lucia Donre

The college is saddened by the loss of Professor Lucia Donre who passed on March 22, 2018.
Luci, as she is better known as, began her career at the college first as a Financial Aid Technician in 1992 at what was then the Community College of Micronesia (CCM). From 1998 to 2001 she served as a Student Services Assistant in the Office of Admissions & Records, then a Student Services Specialist in the Student Support Services Program from 2001 to 2008, where she then became an Education Specialist until 2011. She became a full time faculty member with the Social Science Division in 2011 until her untimely passing.
As part of her commitment to the college community Luci also served on several standing committees such as the Recruitment and Retention Committee, and the Human Resources Committee. At the time of her passing she was the At-Large Faculty member of the Faculty & Staff Senate. She was also a very active member of the Lady Sharks throughout the years, and her passing leaves the President of the Lady Sharks seat vacant. She served as an advisor to the college's Phi Theta kappa chapter.
The college will miss her humor and jovial personality. She will be remembered for her passion for the students she served, and the dedication she gave as a member of the Lady Sharks.
