College Celebrates 24th Founding Day
Kolonia, Pohnpei (April 4, 2017) – The college celebrated the 24th anniversary of its founding on March 30, 2017 at the Pohnpei State Track and Field. Floats, sporting events, and cultural performances were prepared by the student organizations from the four Micronesian states.
The event kicked off with a parade of floats from the Spanish Wall in Kolonia to the Pohnpei State Track and Field where they were greeted by staff, faculty, students and the community.
Acting President Karen Simion gave the welcoming remarks and thanked all the individuals who made the activity possible. In attendance were dignitaries, government officials, college Regent Kasio Mida, and Post Master Genreral Ginger Mida.
Track and Field event was held during the morning activities where Pohnpei Student Organization (PSO) took the 1st place while Chuu Chok got the 2nd place and Pohnpei Campus took home the 3rd Place. 
The float winners are as follows:
1st – Kosrae Student Organization (KSO)
2nd – Yap Student Organization (YSO)
3rd – Chuuk Student Organization (Chuu Chok)
4th – Pohnpei Student Organization(PSO)
5th - PingMwoak
6th - Pohnpei Campus
7th – NuKap
