Students Build Bluetooth Speakers
Kolonia, Pohnpei (February 23, 2017) – Career and Technical Education (CTE) students at Pohnpei Campus enrolled in VEE 224, created speakers that can run through Bluetooth technology. As part of CTE's hands on learning courses, students constructed the speakers from scratch supplies available locally, to which the Bluetooth chip is added and built around.
Instructor Dr. Nelchor Permitez shared that “the students are very proud of this achievement, they cannot wait for the next f4 event to showcase these achievements”
Made at Pohnpei Campus, these amplified speakers with Bluetooth Technology can be used for home and for car entertainment. Dr. Permitez also mentioned that this project was made possible through financial assistance from Mason Wiley, Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship.
These speakers will be available for sale at the next Food & Fashion Friday Festival (F4) event on April 7, 2017. Proceeds will go to the Techno Club Students Organization at Pohnpei Campus.
