2016-2017 APIASF AANAPISI Scholarship
The Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF) is providing financial support to eligible low-income Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) students through scholarship from APIASF, i.e., AANPISI scholarship program.
The application for the 2016-2017 APIASF AANAPISI Scholarship is now open. The APIASF AANAPISI Scholarship online application deadline is extended until Wednesday, November 2, 2016, 5:00 PM ET . Scholarship awards range from one-time $2,500 awards to multi-year $5,000 awards. Online application can be accessed at: https://aanapisischolarship.apiasf.org
APIASF AANAPISI Scholarship Minimum Eligibility Criteria include:
- Be of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by the U.S. Census.
- Be a citizen, national, or legal permanent resident of the United States. Citizens of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of Palau are also eligible to apply.
- Be enrolled as a full-time student in a degree-seeking program at one of the AANAPISI campus partners during the 2017 Spring Semester.
- Applied for federal financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Applicants do not necessarily need to be recipients of federal financial aid to be eligible for a scholarship from APIASF.
APIASF General Scholarship
The application for the 2016-2017 APIASF General Scholarship opens on September 15, 2016 and closes on January 11, 2017 at 11:59 PM EST. Scholarship awards range from one-time $2,500 awards to multi-year $20,000 awards. Online application can be accessed at: https://aanapisischolarship.apiasf.org
The minimum criteria for the APIASF General Scholarship include:
- Be of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by the U.S. Census
- Be a citizen, national, or legal permanent resident of the United States. Citizens of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of Palau are also eligible to apply
- Be enrolling as an undergraduate student in a U.S. accredited college or university in the Fall of 2017. Please read the scholarships by supporter details below for specific eligibility requirements regarding the academic standing required for each scholarship.
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale (unweighted) or have earned a GED
- Must apply for federal financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Submit one letter of recommendation online.
