College Donates ID Equipment to Kosrae State Government
Tofol, Kosrae (May 7, 2015) - The College donated identification (ID) production equipment to the Kosrae State Government’s Office of the Attorney General.
The College recently upgraded its ID production capabilities college-wide leaving Kosrae Campus with a perfectly working industrial ID printer system. It was decided that it would be better served if it was donated and put to use elswhere.
The College donated the former ID printer to the Kosrae State Office of the Attorney General. Discussing the donation with the Kosrae Chief of Police Edmond Salik, he immediately accepted the offer.
Kosrae Campus Information Technology (IT) personnel successfully installed the printer for the Kosrae State Division of Public Safety. System Specialist Renton Isaac of the College’s Kosrae Campus also trained key personnel at Kosrae Public Safety in the productions of ID’s and licenses.
In a turn-over ceremony, the Lt. Governor Carson Sigrah and Acting Attorney General Jeffrey Tilfas expressed their gratitude, “the people of Kosrae are thankful that our college is able to consider the need of our state; having this machine in operation will greatly improve the format to meet international standards”. Kosrae authorities have been issuing paper id’s and licenses prior to the donation. The Lt. Governor wholeheartedly thanked President Daisy, Vice Presidents of the College, the Director of Information Technology, and the whole College community for this worthy and generous donation to the State of Kosrae.
Attending the ceremony were Lieutenant Governor Carson Sigrah, Acting Attorney General Jeffery Tilfas, Chief of Police Edmond Salik, from the Office of the Attorney General Cynthia Salik, and from the College Dean Kalwin Kephas, Nena Mike, Hiroki Noda, and Renton Isaac.
