College Celebrates 61st Commencement Exercises
Palikir, Pohnpei (May 14, 2015) – The College celebrated its 61ST Commencement Exercises on Thursday May 14, 2015, at 9:00 A.M. in the Main Gym of the FSM China Friendship Sports Center.
Over 600 attendees were present to witness the marching of the graduates including dignitaries and leaders of the community.
College President Joseph M. Daisy Ed. D. gave welcoming remarks, while College Chief of staff, Ms. Universe Yamase was this year's commencement speaker.
With a theme of “If you can dream it, you can live it”, Ms. Yamase shared that “Dreaming is the easy part, but 'living it' is the toughest part because you have to wake up and work for it.”
She also challenged the students to pursue their dreams, and to do it with a pure heart, do it with honesty, do it selflessly, and do it because you are a man and woman for others.
Kenye Donna Jim and Robert Nakasone Jr., shared the honors of being the valedictorian speakers, while Yuuki Kenna Omura was the Salutatorian.
