Yap UB Students Visit Pohnpei

Palikir, Pohnpei (April 30, 2015) – Fourteen Students from the Yap Upward Bound (UB) program visited the Pohnpei and National Campuses. Thirteen  high school seniors, 1 Junior and a chaperone stayed at the National Campus Residential Halls.

The students were accompanied by Mr. Serphin Ilesiuyalo who shared that the objective of the trip is for the students to have a first hand experience of what college life is about.

The students attended and observed classes at the  National Campus through out their stay. The UB students were also given a chance to attend the Pohnpei Campus Skills Expo 2015 held last April 23-24.

“This is truly an amazing experience for me, this trip gives me an idea of what to expect when I enter College” were sentiments shared by Hygenius Gilfelow.

After Pohnpei the students will be heading to Guam to visit the University of Guam (UOG) and Guam Community College (GCC).
