Duties:
The Project assistant is under the supervision of the Project manager for the Inclusive Early
Childhood Education (ECE) Teacher Training Program for the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM).
The project assistant is to provide a variety of administrative services to support the project manager
including the following:
- Plan, organize and carry out a broad range of secretarial and clerical functions.
- Develop, verify and submit time sheets in a timely manner
- Perform duties as delegated with minimum or no supervision
- Oversee purchase and maintain sufficient inventory of supplies and equipment for the Inclusive Early Childhood Education (ECE) Teacher Training Program for the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM)
- Oversee payments or reimbursement of workshops throughout the project for the Inclusive Early Childhood Education (ECE) Teacher Training Program for the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM)
- Communicate with state representatives on setting up workshops or any other inquiries
- Serve as a liaison between COM-FSM, UNICEF, National Department of Education and State Department of Education to ensure uninterrupted daily operation
- Coordinate and help Project manager set up meetings with the National Department of Education and State Department of Education
- Receive, organize and review documents for the program or from the project manager
- Maintain files for the Inclusive Early Childhood Education (ECE) Teacher Training Program for the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM)
- Maintain documentation of appointments and meetings for Program Manager
- Oversee and reconcile files and records for the Early Childhood Education Project program across the FSM
- Travel with the Project manager and assisting the project manager during meetings and workshops
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: An Associate degree from a US
accredited college with emphasis on management or secretarial training is preferred and four years of
progressively responsible work experience of a caliber which demonstrates competence in assisting in
the administrative details described above. Ability and successful experience handling confidential
files and information. Must have excellent organizational skills; English language proficiency,
knowledge of basic word processing: Word, Excel, and Access Database. Must be assertive, initiative,
friendly, courteous and a team worker.
