The state of Chuuk is the most populated state in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM). The state is made up of 5 regions namely the Nomwunmeito, Halls, Pattiw, Mortlocks and Chuuk Lagoon, had a land area of 49 square miles (Chuuk Census, 2002). In comparison to the other three states of Pohnpei, Kosrae, and Yap; Chuuk makes up half of the whole FSM population.
