Present Position

Professor, College of Micronesia - FSM . Duties and responsibilities include – instructing courses in the Education Division, College curriculum writing, Staff Development Committee, Publications Committee, Executive Committee of the COM – FSM Staff Senate (5) years.

Experience: Administrative and Educational

  • Chairperson, CCM and COM- FSM Education Division , Training and supervising education instructors, trained my Micronesian counterpart, curriculum writing, Teaching education foundation and methods courses, Evaluation of Programs and staff, Serving on the FSM Third Year Education Certificate Program coordinate with the University of Guam
  • 1968- 1070 Pohnpei State Coordinator of Teacher Education . Developed the PONTEC Program serving Pohnpei and Kosrae, CCM Extension coordinator for the district, supervising instructors, Peace Corps Volunteers, and clerical staff, served on the Trust Territory Council of Teacher Training.
  • Team Leader Micronesian Teacher Corp . Training Micronesian teachers to the BA level through CCM, University of Richmond , Virginia , in the Teacher Corp. Program, with Dr. Fred Baker.
  • Kosrae District Elementary School Supervisor . Assisted the Kosrae Deputy Superintendent of Schools with supervision of instruction in 5 elementary Schools in Kosrae. Staffing included Peace Corps Volunteers.
  • TESL Teacher . Utwe Elementary School , Kosrae. Teaching 160 children Oral English.
  • Director Field Science and Conservation Program , Newton Public Schools , Newton , Massachusetts- an outdoor education program with elementary school students and teachers.
  • 1953- 1962 Elementary School Science Specialist . Newton Public Schools. Working with all grade level school teachers in the elementary schools with science teaching, curriculum writing and working in the field science and conservation program for outdoor education.
  • Recreation Leader - Baltimore Parks Department, Baltimore , Maryland . Working with Baltimore City Children in team sports, nature studies, and dramatics. Supervising teen-age social programs.
