Education and Marine Science Instructor

College of Micronesia , Pohnpei

Instructing ESL college students with introductory marine sciences courses (Aquaculture, Marine Biology, Oceanography, Ichthyology, Zoology, and Environmental Studies), advising students, maintaining attendance and grade records, and serving on staff committees. I am currently contracted with the Education Division at COM-FSM. I teach Life Science for teachers and Physical Science for teachers and assist practicum students develop lessons and curricula for the Palikir Elementary Laboratory School .

Peace Corps Trainer May-July (1998, 2000)

Pohnpei State , Federated States of Micronesia

Technical Coordinator for thirteen Peace Corps Marine Resource Trainees. Developed a 5 weekmkl; training program to prepare trainees for working and living in the FSM as marine resource advisors. Program included the culture of soft corals and sponges, coral reef monitoring and survey methods, and coastal resource conservation and management. This program has since been adopted by Peace Corps posts throughout the Pacific.
